So who are Western Australia Expert?
We are a family of four who live in Perth, Western Australia.
Why are we experts of Western Australia?
David was born in Perth and has lived in Busselton, the Swan Valley, Perth Hills, inner Perth, and now resides in one of the northern coastal suburbs.
I (Wendy) was born in London but moved to Perth when I married David in 2001. We spent years going through an emotional roller coaster of IVF treatments with many miscarriages. Thankfully, after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I managed to carry our babies to 32 weeks. They are now nearly adults!
Our girls didn’t stop our love for travel and new experiences. They were babies when they first flew on a plane and we have been lucky to be able to travel internationally, domestically, and within our state since.
I originally started Perthtravelers as a way of documenting our family travels and as an outlet for my passion for travel and seeing the world. Then the pandemic hit, our borders shut, so we spent two years seeing more of Western Australia.
Western Australia Expert was born in 2022 as I fell even more in love with our home state and wanted to share its beauty with the rest of the world.
What do we provide?
My aim is to inspire you to visit Western Australia and provide you with all the information needed to travel here, with guides on all the best things to do, regions to explore, places to eat & drink, and epic road trips.
I work directly with numerous Western Australian tour operators, promoting their tours and supporting small business owners.
