Kitsch Bar Asia, Leederville, is a bar/restaurant offering a fusion of Asian flavours and a vibrant atmosphere. This dining establishment is known for its contemporary yet nostalgic ambience, where traditional Asian elements combine with a modern twist. 

With a diverse menu inspired by the street food culture of Asia, Kitsch Bar Asia presents a delicious range of dishes that cater to various tastes.

Kitsch Bar Asia Lucy’s Bottomless Brunch Review 

Upon entering, we were greeted by an energetic atmosphere and friendly staff. The seating arrangement varies from cosy tables for two to communal tables, promoting a convivial atmosphere where guests can comfortably interact.

Food and Drinks

Kitsch Bar Asia’s bottomless brunch menu consists of three courses, showcasing the best of their Asian-inspired cuisine. Guests are encouraged to choose two dishes to share (one per person) from the starters and mains and explore the different dishes together.

Our two starters were the Korean fried sweet & salty chicken wings and the crispy squid with teriyaki & spicy miso sauce. The wings were delicious, and the chicken was tender, as was the squid – I couldn’t choose a favourite!
Other options for the starters were crispy salt & pepper tofu with sambal kecap and sauteed Southeast Asian sweet mushroom & cassava cracker, which is gluten-free and vegan-friendly.

The mains of the brunch experience included coconut jasmine rice and a choice of crunchy Asian slaw with spiced peanut dressing or crispy potatoes with cashew cream and seaweed salt (all gluten-free and vegan).

Our two mains perfectly captured the essence of Kitsch Bar Asia’s fusion cuisine – roasted pork belly with five-spice herb sauce and crispy caramelised beef with sticky soy, onion, capsicum, and sesame. Each main dish was thoughtfully crafted to showcase a harmonious blend of Asian flavours and contemporary presentation. 

Other dishes on the menu were traditional pad thai with tofu and sriracha and garlic roasted cauliflower with cashew & edamame.

To finish the bottomless brunch on a sweet note, we were treated to a delectable dessert that perfectly rounded off the culinary journey – homemade peanut butter parfait with vanilla and mango ice cream. Delicious!

There’s a choice of spritzes, wine, and Tiger beer for drinks. The Aperol and Limoncello Spritzers were refreshing and made an excellent start to the brunch. While enjoying our food, Dave had the Sauvignon Blanc, and I had the Rose (both good). There were also bubbles, mimosa, and a red to choose from. 

Service and Staff

The staff were friendly, professional, and very attentive. We were asked if we would like a drink almost immediately and again once our drinks were finished.

Pricing and Value

Lucy’s Bottomless Brunch cost $85 per person, which was good value for the food quality and drinks. 

Conclusion

Kitsch Bar is best visited in fine weather, as most dining areas are open to the elements. If you’re visiting as a couple, try to book around midday before the large groups arrive.

We enjoyed our bottomless brunch and will return with friends.
