Looking for the best family resorts in Western Australia? As a Perth family, we have visited numerous hotels and resorts in our state.
One of the top family-friendly resorts in WA is the RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. Located in Shark Bay, the resort has a range of accommodation options, including self-contained villas and cabins. Kids will love the daily dolphin feeding sessions, while adults can relax by the pool or participate in one of the many activities.
Another popular family destination is the Crown Metropol in Perth. This hotel is excellent for a family holiday or staycation. Our daughters enjoyed the resort-style pools with a water slide while we sat back and enjoyed a cocktail.
Family Resorts in Western Australia
These family-friendly resorts are great options for a family vacation to Western Australia:
⭐️ RATING: 8.6/10 Stars |📍 LOCATION: 15 Earnshaw Rd, West Busselton | ✅ Book it!
The Amalfi Resort in Busselton, part of the Margaret River wine region, is just a short walk from the beach. This resort offers a range of family-friendly accommodation options, including spacious villas and apartments that can accommodate up to six people.
The resort also has a heated outdoor swimming pool, a children’s playground, and BBQ facilities.
We stayed in a deluxe two-bedroom villa (one bedroom was in the upstairs loft). It was clean and comfortable, with well-equipped amenities. The location is good, just one street from the beach, great for walks along the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the lack of sun loungers around the pool.

⭐️ RATING: 8/10 Stars | 📍 LOCATION: Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood | ✅ Book it!
The Crown Metropol Perth is a luxury resort in Burswood, close to East Perth and the city. While there may be more affordable options, it offers a range of family-friendly amenities, including a kids’ hub, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and a selection of restaurants and cafes.
The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable (the black-out curtains also ensure a good sleep).
We like Crown Metropol due to the lack of amenities onsite, including the amazing pool area, restaurants, bars, spa and gym. However, service has slipped the last couple of times, so we now stay at Crown Towers.

⭐️ RATING: 8.8/10 Stars |📍 LOCATION: Cable Beach, Broome | ✅ Book it!
Cable Beach Resort in Broome is a tropical oasis just a short walk from the stunning Cable Beach. This resort’s accommodation options include spacious villas and apartments that accommodate up to six people. The resort has a playground, mini golf, tennis, games, and a family pool to entertain the kids.
The resort is in an excellent location on Cable Beach, with a large family pool and on-site restaurants. However, the food and drinks are expensive if budget is an issue.

⭐️ RATING: 8.4/10 Stars |📍 LOCATION: 2 Dempster St, Esperance | ✅ Book it!
The Jetty Resort Esperance is a short walk from Esperance town centre and the beautiful Esperance Bay. This resort has family-friendly accommodation options, including spacious apartments that accommodate up to five people. The resort also has a solar-heated outdoor swimming pool, a playground, and BBQ facilities.
This resort is in a great location with clean and spacious rooms. However, the rooms are a bit dated, and the walls are thin, so you can sometimes hear other people.

Family Holiday Park Resorts
You’re in luck if you’re looking for a family-friendly caravan park in Western Australia. Several options cater to families with children of all ages. Here are some of our favourites:
⭐️ RATING: 9.2/10 Stars |📍 LOCATION: 652 Geographe Bay, Broadwater | ✅ Book it!
Mandalay Holiday Resort Holiday Park is an excellent option for families. It’s across a small road from the beach in the Margaret River region at Geographe Bay, Busselton.
It has various accommodation options, including self-contained cabins, powered caravan and camping sites. The park has a range of facilities for families, including three swimming pools, playgrounds, and a games room.
We love the immaculate cabins and gardens, plus the amount of things to do for the kids. The holiday park is in a great location opposite the beach.
However, it is jam-packed during the WA school holidays.
⭐️ RATING: 8.9/10 Stars |📍 LOCATION: 28 Flinders Parade, Albany | ✅ Book it!
Big 4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park is another great option for families. It’s in Middleton Beach, a coastal suburb in Albany, and has self-contained cabins, powered caravans, and camping sites. The park has a range of facilities for families, including a swimming pool, playground, and games room.
We found the cabins clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for families as it’s on the beach with cafes nearby. However, if you rely on WiFi, it can drop out at times.
